The Epic Blog
This is a personal project of ours and is made with custom graphics, php, mysql and wordpress. This site started live in 2009 but then stopped in order to build this business, back in December 2012 I decided to reinstate The Epic Blog.. The Epic blog also comes with a Twitter and Facebook page.

Birdbook
This is a Brand new social network for Birders and Birdlovers alike! Once fully finished this we hope will be an awesome Social Network for Birders and Birdwatchers. Again this is a personal project that has been completely built from scratch. Not one framework has been used not even JQuery or Codeigniter! it has been programmes with HTML5, CSS 2 and 3, Custom Hashing scripts for passwords, OOP, PHP, MySQLi and of course .htaccess. 80% of it’s revenue will be donated to the RSPB
So then dear reader? Whats your opinion on these 2 sites. i am more proud of the birdbook one as it’s totally handbuilt and The Epic Blog is just a wordpress site!

Bird book is a very poor idea, it’s niche is very particular and will attract very few. The design of it is really poor and unstable. I’d give up while your behind.
Wow, well your entitled to your opinion neil! Yesterday I completed the sign up page and looking at my database I already have 60 accounts already created!
I assume your a developer/designer yourself. would love to see your work so we can appraise it that you have here with me!

I agree with him, also how can you have 60 people when your signup buttons doesn’t work at the present moment?
I can not see your backend code so I can’t judge your proficiency on that, but your frontend is messy.
Here are a few things you can do to improve.
the font in the transparent box hasn’t got enough contrast.
your RSPB copy goes outside the box (yes i’m at 100% zoom before you jump to conclusions).
your only blog post changes font size after every paragraph (why?!).
…..seriously you’re padding with paragraph tags with a space in them.
Have to agree with Neil, design is rather bad and it’s not the sort of site that will attract a mas if traffic.
Like I have said to Neil, I would love to see your work as well.
At the end of the day the site is not finished and already it is gaining interest. got an email today off one of my members asking my to make a widget for Birdbook so they can put it up on their respective blogs.
